Paying For Free Advice

I know I haven't been updating my blog...well it's the summer, I do other things, like commenting on other blogs.
But I do read blogs.
Okay my rant for now is this. Why does a certian store charge $300 for an outdated operating system) OS thats not even being supported. (Yes I know its a license fee, labor & installation fee but that doesn't change the facts)
I have 2 clients right now that want this but they can't afford that in their budget. Okay let's go with an open source OS that's free. Ohhh you mean you didnt know there was a rival to the winBLOWS? It's called Linux. But that would mean the clients have to relearn how to do things. Now if it were me, yes I would go with free but I dont need to at this point, after all I do have a free browser that rivals IE, free anti virus protection, free email, free games online, free IM programs, free news feed, free graphics & a free blogging site. Wierd huh?
I manage to save more than I would happen to spend. Try to explain this to the average user of a pc but they don't like to hear the word *free*.
Most people expect to hear a cost factor. When I give free IT/computer tips out to who ever and where ever, I always get the same look. It's a look of What the fuck are you doing not charging for the advice your giving. When I see this look I usually tell them why Im doing this & it's this, either I give the advice for free now & you listen or you come to me, pay me my fee & then we go from there.
What happens next is just really outrageous. They open up to me, now they don't tell me what exactly they do on the web, but usually you can tell where they're going with this. I mention porn sites & what they do.....they get that *shit he knows I go to see kittens get juggled* site....no I dont, but I know what type of items sites like this like to drop onto your computer with out your knowledge. So I tell them what programs to run, give them a business card if they want one with some sites on the back and a pat on the head saying *Now be a good internet user* LOL...yeah right, they'll see me and have to pay me.
Isn't being evil fun when you know they won't listen to free advice.
*Side note* Never try and type when your in pain drinking alcohol to kill the pain with another computer geek looking over your shoulder correcting your entries...it could lead to sex. I mean really good geek sex. Or just good cyber fantasy sex. Or something like that.

How's this for free! I have a web cam (yeah no big thing). So I wanted to see if I could link it to my blog. After so much freakin crap out there, trying to learn how to program in java, perl & whatever language you can think of on the fly, I found a site that will do all the work for me. No Im not advertising for them. I just wanted to see if I could make this thing work & then pass it on to other people. What the link, leave me a friggin message.
I did find another site that was just as cool but I couldnt link it & show it up on my blog. Now I might just add this to the EBLOG site to see how that goes. Take NOTE Rocky & Tblurt users, I've done all this for free so far. A video chat room with texting & it's 99% compitable. Next is doing audio with the video.
Not the best in the world but then again not the worst for free.
I am such a geek but a geek with an attitude.

Memories Are Sadistic

It's amazing how people come & go in a blink of an eye. What seems to be an eternity, is just gone like a wisp of breath on a cold morning.
I miss some of the blogs that use to be here, the people, the insight & their memories would trigger my memories of what of my life was like or I lived there memories through their words. Alas people move on. Such is the same for time, . Sometimes its best that the darkness envelopes there passing. Fading memories are a sadistic reminder that the life is still there but they physicals aspect is permanently gone. No renewal, no adding on to such things. Just gone.
Of course Sadistic can have its reward, but sometimes it spills over into the so called human reality of life. For that I only wish to be alone. I can't step outside myself when it happens. I'm a raging bastard of razors & paper cuts with bleeding slits in the flesh with salt smashed in. I really try to control this side of me. I loathe it at times, I see my darkness come out. I feel it consume the very light inside me, tainting it. I try to reign it in, but I refuse to run from it. Running has its own deep regrets. I wonder at times if I run from it, am I a coward. Coward for not standing up to that inner darkness, a coward for letting consume my soul. Letting that darkness effect my reality and then letting that darkness seep out into and effect others around me. The anger, the rage, the emotional pain of being Dark and not running from it.
I wonder at time does death hold the key to the release of this darkness? But then again is that a cowardly way out? Suicide isn't an option that's the ultimate act of being cowardly & the world & whatever God(s) you believe in probably doesn't condone it as well.
But the more you live, the more the darkness lives. Is this some drawn out punishment given to me or others like me. Life is the ultimate punishment for living in the darkness. The more you try to eliminate the darkness the more it tries to filter back into life by consuming the cracks of inadequacies in your life. Eliminate those cracks, new ones will show up. There called memories & memories can be sadistic.
