The Insanity of the Living

Now that NB has been *put to rest* you would think his relatives would have started to move on & clean the place up to sell it. Yes, I do realize it must be traumatic to loose someone but these people need to move on. Also yes I did consider that things may be locked up in probate court but NB didn't have a whole lot in house. Ironically one of his relatives came & got his truck. The place is infested with bugs & that's just the start of it. The smell from NB's place is a little easier to tolerate but that's because the someone aired some of the place out. Doesn't hurt that I live across the street either. For the most part, nothing has been touched & the city health inspector has condemned the place. The power is still on, but the moment the power goes off, any perishable item that has been left behind in the fridge will start to spoil. WOW a whole new smell to tolerate in the summer heat. The grass hasn't been mowed. The grass isn't really an issue here but if they want to sell the place really fast you would think its easier to sell with a mowed yard. I call it selective greed without the getting messy. Just take what you can & let someone worry about the hell that's been created. What a pisser that there are people like this in the world at times & yes I've seen this happen in my lifetime but not with NB's relatives, my own. Death of a loved one can send emotions of greed, resentment, pity & stupidity reeling into a spiral of pathetic & loathing. Ha humanity at it's lowest point. Makes you want to throw back a few drinks, smile & laugh at the insanity of it all. DarkMood Listening To:Evanescence Song:Whisper CD:Fallen

Burying the Memories of the Dead
07.11.04 (3:57 pm) [edit]
Well, they finally buried NB. The first couple of nights when the lights weren't on at NB's, it seems really eerie. 2 days of being drunk after finding him trying to get the image out of my head. Wow no hangover but very tired. Not as young as I thought when it comes to drinking. I met with NB's relatives that showed up, answered all the questions for the most part what I knew. The strangest questions I had to answer were, "Was he gay?" asked by a detective. My first reaction was, HOW the hell would I know, does it matter NB hung himself. Do most gay's hang themselves? But I answered No, I don't think NB was. "Was NB naked?"...asked by one relative. Now I saw NB hanging & he did appear to be clothed, but what type of question is that to ask? Who Cares?!! Your relative hung himself. Do you think it he was making fashion statements & pissed off about the current fashions coming out of Milan? But I answered he was clothed. After piecing some of this morbid puzzle together with NB's relatives, neighbors & police, it seems NB was on prosaic & stopped taking it 5 days earlier. He had also stopped eating too, even though there was food in the house & money didn't seem to be an issue, a relative found unemployment checks uncashed. He had job opportunities from neighbors but never took them up on it, couldn't get back into the military (he missed the re enlist for his age bracket by a few months, too old) & his brakes went out on his truck. He didn't get along with some of his relatives (name me one person who does & I'll show you a heavily medicated person drooling who's seeing pretty colors). So it could have been a combination of severe depression, a lot of little things & missed opportunities or he was just trying to see how long he could hang around the house before someone found him. Only NB & his deity know. May NB find peace at last from his wretched world and stupid reality TV shows. DarkMood Listening to: Alice Cooper Song: Lost in America CD: Alice Cooper Classicks
